U.S. shares fell Tuesday after some full American companies reported earnings that uncovered an even higher hit from the coronavirus pandemic than investors had been looking out at for.
The Dow Jones Industrial Practical fell 205.49 points or 0.8% to 26379.28. The S&P 500 lost 20.97 points, or 0.6%, to 3218.44, whereas the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite declined 134.18 points, or 1.3%, to 10402.09.
