Ding Junhui has withdrawn from this month’s Tour Championship as a “security precaution” and to “preserve a long way from intensive skedaddle” from China.
The World Snooker Tour was working with the federal government to procure Ding an exemption from the 14-day quarantine policy for those arriving in the UK.
However the 33-year-dilapidated has made up our minds to no longer skedaddle, alongside with his space in the eight-man match going to Scot Stephen Maguire.
The tournament begins on 20 June at Milton Keynes’ Marshall Enviornment.
That is the the same venue that hosted the Championship League match on 1 June, as snooker grew to become the first sport to appear on free-to-air television in the UK actual by means of the coronavirus pandemic.
